KUMARA
AND CORN FRITTERS

gram can cream style corn
In a bowl mix together the cream style corn, ginger, herbs, self raising flour, milk and egg yolk. In a clean bowl beat the egg white until stiff. F old the egg white and kumera into the mixture. Heat a little butter or oil in a non stick frying pan and cook large spoonfuls over a low to moderate heat for about three minutes each side. Serve with crispy grilled bacon, grilled tomatoes and a drizzle of golden syrup. SIMPLE CHEESE STRAWS 2
sheets of thawed pre rolled frozen puff or flaky pastry
Preheat
oven to 200 C. Cut the pastry into strips approx 1 cm wide and 10cm
long. Place on a tray lined with baking paper or a well greased baking
tray. Place the straws close together but not quite touching and
sprinkle with grated cheese and dust with garlic salt.
ROLLUPS slices
of white bread
Remove crusts from bread. Use rolling pin and flatten each slice of bread thin. Chop ham into bite size pieces. Spread thin layer of spaghetti on each piece of bread. Add thin layer of ham on each piece of bread. Cover each with a light layer of cheese. Roll each piece from corner to corner and use toothpick to hold together. Place on baking tray and bake at 180 deg C or 350 deg F for approximately 10 minutes or until bread is crisp and cheese has melted. Easy and quick to prepare for a light lunch or a snack for the kids. GENTLEMAN'S SUPPER 6
oz cheddar cheese
Cut
cheese into thin slices and stir into potatoes with beaten eggs, mustard
and seasoning.
