Kiwi   Baked Goodies
OBLONGYS

75 grams butter melted
3 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
1 cup flour, minus 2 tablespoons
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons cocoa

Place melted butter, eggs, sugar and milk into a bowl. Lightly mix. Sift in the carefully measured flour, baking powder and cocoa. Using electric beater or a good hand beater, beat until the mixture is well mixed, looks creamy and is slightly paler in colour. Pour mixture into patty containers and bake at 175 deg C for about 12 minutes. When cooled ice with chocolate icing and place either jelly beans, pebbles or hundreds and thousands on top.

AFGHANS

1 ounce cocoa
4 ounces flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 ounces butter
3 ounces sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 ounces crushed cornflakes

Heat the oven to 170 deg C. Sift cocoa, flour and baking powder together. Cream butter and sugar together, beat in essence Add dry ingredients to make a soft dough, mix in cornflakes Shape into balls and place on greased baking tray and flatten with the back of a wetted spoon. Bake for 15 min. Lift off tray carefully and cool When dry ice with chocoalte icing and place a piece of a walnut in centre of each before icing sets.

KIWI BISCUITS

1 packet chocolate chips (approx 250 grams)
6 ounces flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 ounces butter
2 ounces sugar
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

Heat the oven to 180 deg C. Grease a baking tray. Sift flour and baking powder. Soften butter and cream with sugar and sweetened condensed milk until light and fluffy. Work in flour, add chocolate chips. Roll into balls in hand about the size of a small walnut, flatten with fork and place on tray. Bake for 15 min or until lightly brown and crisp.
